Sauna Ritual | 17:00 – 18:30 (Shared Session)
Experience our traditional sauna ritual at Ytri – a 1.5-hour session in a wood-fired sauna, guided by one of our staff members. With only six participants per session, you’ll enjoy an intimate experience that combines heat and cold for deep relaxation, improved circulation, softened muscles, detoxification, and renewed energy, all in the heart of breathtaking natural surroundings.
Participating in our sauna ritual is more than relaxation – it is a traditional wellness experience with multiple health benefits:
- Can help reduce tension, stress, and body aches
- The heat loosens stiff joints and sore muscles
- Sweating helps the body eliminate toxins
- Increased blood circulation gives softer skin and a natural glow
Practical Information & Sauna Guidelines:
- Wear or bring swimwear
- Shower or bathe before entering
- Remove jewelry – metal gets hot and can burn
- Drink plenty of water before and during the session
- Listen to your body: exit if you feel discomfort
- Take breaks, stay hydrated, and exit slowly at the end of the session
- You may repeat the hot/cold cycle as many times as you wish, for example with a dip in the sea
- Consider eating something salty afterward to replenish electrolytes lost through sweat
